My Promotion Is Coming
By: by Bill Yount

I sense the Lord saying, "My promotion is coming to many who seem to be in a pit or prison in this hour."

Dirt Becomes Deliverance

You have perhaps heard the story of the farmer who had an old donkey that fell into a deep well. The farmer thought since the donkey was old, he might as well bury it down there. He called his neighbors together with shovels and they started throwing dirt down on the donkey. After awhile the farmer noticed the ears of the donkey and suddenly the donkey jumped out and ran across the field. The farmer and neighbors looked down into the well and discovered that, every time they threw dirt down on the donkey, he would just shake it off and step on it. The dirt being thrown upon him became his deliverance as he would shake it off and step on it. What was supposed to destroy him became a stepping stone to his deliverance!

They are many this hour who seemingly are in a pit or prison and the enemy is throwing all kinds of discouragement, slander and lies at you.

You need to shake it off and step on it! As you continue to just shake it off and step on those lies and dirt that the enemy is trying to destroy you with, that dirt will become your stepping stone to your deliverance!

Caution Needed

We must be careful for how we come out of our season from the pit or prison will greatly influence our new season in the field where God promotes us. Any seeds of hurt, bitterness or anger from relationships in our pit, will be carried and planted in the next field of relationships in our place of promotion!

The enemy attacks severely when he senses we are about to come into new relationships through our promotion. He cannot stop our promotion but he can taint it by buffeting us with hurts through relationships whether on purpose or misunderstanding. The enemy will magnify those hurts so he may hinder our next season that should bring us greater love for those in our lives in both old and new relationships where God is taking us.

Many times our promotion is really held back by ourselves for if we hold on to our bitterness from our present relationships, we will just leave one pit and go into another. Most pits and prisons are man made from our hurts and anger toward others.

The Lifting Power of Love

I believe one reason the pit or prison of death could not hold Jesus was because He died loving and forgiving us as well as those who were seemingly taking His life. Love always has a lifting power to it. "When nothing else could help, love lifted me!"

We must first pass the test of loving and forgiving those in our pit or prison who seemingly are trying to destroy us before we can truly live in the place where God is taking us this next season. Loving others will not only bring you out but it may very likely bring others out with you!

"Shake and loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, 0 captive daughter of Zion!"

"Shake it off and step on it... promotion is coming!"
